Overall cleanliness of the body, chassis and engine, without obvious leakage of operating fluids. The vehicle must not have deep corrosion, light surface corrosion must be treated, removed and preserved. Uniform, solid paint without a large number of abrasions, other damage and unprofessionally repaired areas. For original, unrenovated surfaces, a certain degree of disturbance can be allowed in order to preserve the originality.
It is not permissible to replace surface treatments with plating, silver plating or paint.
Not only the basic parts of the vehicle, but also the signs, emblems and markings must correspond to the model and year of manufacture.
The interior must be free of significant damage, there must be no torn or unprofessionally repaired upholstery, nor must there be any replacement with modern elements. No out-of-date accessories may be installed.
The vehicle must not have stickers that were not supplied by the manufacturer, such as advertising stickers. Only stickers that were required by operating conditions may be on the vehicle.
Vehicle must not be used for normal daily transport, let alone for profit-making or economic activity.
The test commissioners have the knowledge and guidelines to recognize historically correct condition, distinguish patina from wreckage. Contact them before you decide to undergo HV testing.

Agreement on the feasibility of testing HV

Anyone interested in testing a vehicle for historical authenticity can create a request for testing themselves, via the website of the national authority that represents FIVA in the Czech Republic: Federation of Historic Vehicle Clubs of the Czech Republic - FKHV, www.fkhv.cz. There, he/she chooses the club in whose testing committee he/she intends to have the testing carried out. The applicant can choose a club, but this does not guarantee that the club will accept his/her application.
Emphatically therefore We recommend that interested parties first contact to the club testing commission through one of the commissioners. The commission will assess not only the condition of the vehicle, but also the documentation for the vehicle, necessary to prove the origin and ownership of the vehicle, and decide whether to accept or reject the application. The commissioner must enter the documents and documentation into the FKHV Information System (IS FKHV), and an incorrectly submitted application will not help him in this, on the contrary. Also leave the acquisition of the necessary photo documentation to the commissioner, he must and can do it in the prescribed manner, in addition, he will also print photos for your HV card. First, simply send basic information about the vehicle and its documents to one of the commissioner's contacts, and arrange it directly with him. The same applies in the case of extending the validity of the testing, communicate with the commissioner first.
A prerequisite for HV testing is the unambiguous identification of the vehicle. The vehicle's identity is the original frame, chassis, self-supporting body, etc., which must bear the original serial number, supported by documentation. In some pre-war vehicles, the frames were not marked, in which case the identity is the engine serial number. A new replica of the serial number plate does not prove the vehicle's identity, it only completes the vehicle.
For example, it could also happen that your vehicle, acquired with the intention of registering it with "veteran plates", is still registered in the road vehicle register in the name of a deceased person, or does not have an owner determined by inheritance proceedings. In that case, registration in the HV register would not be possible.

How the testing is done

Testing is carried out exclusively through the IS FKHV.
