Club trip to Svratouch

Awake for pleasant experiences

On Saturday morning, October 14, Ed Smetana curled his moustache, got behind the wheel of a historic "E-semka" with the working slogans of the construction era on the sides, and we drove to the highlands. The goal of the one-day trip of the members of the Brno Veteran Automobile Club was several places of common interest. The first in order were dams 1 and 2 in Výr. Walking up the stairs to the lowest point of the dam on dam 2, which is 470 meters, was a physically demanding task, which, however, returned in the unique form of a detailed tour of the engine room with Francis turbines. In the next place, František Prosecký, the owner of the Depozit in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, was expecting a large number of visitors. A tour of the collection with details of individual exhibits and their often interesting history and traces of previous owners is both instructive and warning. The last and most distant point of common interest was Svratouch – a village in which they were guided by many other sights and the Museum of Historical Vehicles. The great enthusiasm, love and dedication of Pavel Šiller and Petr Krupica in close cooperation with the municipal office bear fruit – the viewer has before him a clear cross-section of motorcycle production, mainly British classics. The complete agreement of the entire bus crew – the museum is a wonderful part of the local offer of tourist attractions.
