Patronage of the Mayor of Brno and the Governor of the South Moravian Region

This year, for the Brno–Soběšice commemorative ride, we received patronage from the Governor of the South Moravian Region, JUDr. Bohumil Šimek, and the Mayor of the Statutory City of Brno, Ing. Petr Vokřál. We also have the patronage of the Mayor of the Brno-Sever District, Mgr. Martin Maleček.

Greetings to the participants of Brno–Soběšice from the mayor of the Brno-North District

I greet the participants of this unique event with all my heart! I remember the moment when I happened to witness these good old machines driving years ago and it was love at first sight for me. Since then, I have regularly tried to book the last Saturday in September and it has become a tradition for me to set off at nine in the morning on foot from the upper end of Lesná to Kociánka and along the way experience the passage of all the competitors returning from training. Every year the children looked forward to it, we made new acquaintances and friends along the way and there was a lot of cheering. A truly social event.
We always arrived at the Kociánky park at the right time. The starting fever was already in the air and the engines were roaring. We quickly made our way through the crowd, took the best possible position at the start, quickly put the children on our shoulders and the start was on until our ears were ringing. An extraordinary morning in a beautiful area, all of which was practically always enhanced by the exhibition weather. But time flies, the children have grown up and have other attractions, but I never miss the opportunity to see all those enthusiasts and still vital machines again every year. A big thank you to them for allowing us to see a piece of living history. And even greater thanks and recognition to all the organizers, because thanks to them we have this great and unique motor racing event here every year!
